IMPACT Psychological Services is a thriving group practice specializing in integrative psychotherapy with offices in Mamaroneck, NY and Beacon, NY. We serve clients across the lifespan with a flexible, responsive treatment approach that puts the client first. We offer a safe and supportive environment that is LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to social justice. We work with adults, children, adolescents, and families in a wide range of formats. Our services include individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as groups, psychoeducational testing, parent coaching, and more. IMPACT offers many unique opportunities and a wonderful environment, with supportive, expert supervisors with specialities in psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, attachment-based therapies, and family systems models. Our commitment to social justice is interwoven into all of our treatment and assessment services and all clinicians also provide pro bono assessments for asylum seekers. We would love to expand our treatment offerings with several new team members who share our commitment to flexible, integrative treatment and commitment to social justice and community engagement. Our clinicians work together to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative community where we work together, consult with each other regularly and learn side-by-side. Regular didactics are offered to all clinicians in the practice.

We are seeking to hire full-time clinicians for our Mamaroneck office from the following disciplines:

  • LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS

  • LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS

  • LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELORS

  • LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS

Therapists from underrepresented groups - including BIPOC, queer, and other communities - are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be a NY licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)

  • Candidates must have experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy across the lifespan, including work with children, adolescents, and adults

  • Experience integrating other treatment modalities including ACT, DBT, cognitive behavioral modalities, attachment, and/or internal family systems is a plus

  • Experience providing groups for children, teens, and/or adults

  • Doctoral psychologist applicants should have ample experience with psychoeducational testing and personality assessment

  • Motivated, self-starter with a great attitude, flexibility, and enterprising spirit

  • Ability to work under pressure to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines within a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Strong teamwork ethic with positive, flexible attitude; ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities

  • Flexibility with work schedule to meet productivity goals and deadlines

  • Team player and ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with clients and other clinicians in the practice

  • Applicants with unique clinical skills are preferred - this includes training in somatic experiencing, EMDR and other mind-body interventions and/or couples (Gottman Method)

Competitive salary - a percentage of gross income based on experience. Weekly group supervision for psychotherapy, groups and testing is a core component of our group practice community. IMPACT also offers regular didactics on a wide range of topics. Training and certification in providing psychological assessments for asylum seekers is also provided through our partnership with the Human Rights Clinic of HealthRight International. Asylum assessments are offered pro bono by all members of our staff. Training and coaching using deliberate practice is also available. Our team of clinicians is warm, supportive and collaborative and we are looking to hire someone who will become an integral part of this community.
